Thanksgiving shenanigans

Since the maternal grandparents have been gone we have gathered at Mom and Dad's for Thanksgiving and tradition has evolved to include tobboganing on the treacherous leafy slopes in the woods by the house. With a quick change of clothes Minime quickly went from this demure creature ....

to this.....

The middle generation tries to get involved but usually ends up like this:

Did i mention there is a creek at the bottom?

so did that roly poly member of the middle generation wind up in the creek? i surely would have. i am a great hazard to myself. i'd have joined in nonetheless. looks like too much fun not to.

Nobody made it into the creek this year, but the saplings near the bottom took a beating. As did the hands that grabbed them as a last ditch effort to avoid cold wetness. Yes, you would have dug it, and i only missed it because i took over clean up for Mom.
